Danielle is passionate about sharing the joy of movement with the children! She began her dance journey at age 3 also and continues to develop and study multiple disciplines. Danielle began teaching preschool age dance in 1993. She took her first teacher training program through a ballet company she trained and performed with in Philadelphia. She studied dance and visual art at Creative and Performing Arts High School and Temple University Tyler School of Art for a BFA magna cum laude and a second undergraduate degree from University of the Arts in Dance.
Creative Movement | Ages 2-3
Creative movement is a dance class that invites the young child to explore their curiosities and joy of movement. In class, we give space for the child to stretch their voice and embrace creativity. Ballet basics, fun yoga flows, classroom structure, co-ordination, spatial awareness, and teamwork are all introduced through class exercises and specially designed movement games. Parents are to stay during the class as a way for the child to feel comfortable in their first formal classes.
Ballet Tap Combo | Ages 4-6
Ballet Tap combo offers a warm and supportive environment for little dancers to enjoy the start of their formal dance education. In this class, students develop foundational skills such as strength, flexibility, and body alignment while learning basic steps and building their classical ballet vocabulary. We emphasize linking steps together and understanding classroom etiquette, setting up our dancers for a lifetime of movement. Dancers are taught basic steps and learn tap terminology, with an emphasis on proper technique. We understand that this can often be a child’s first experience of time without their primary caregiver. Danielle and staff work very hard to ensure that this transition is the best and most successful experience for everyone.
