Mindfulness Meetings
Shamata Vipasana meditation is practiced with Danielle over the phone weekly. 4 -8 meetings per month are recommended to begin, then progressively less as one feels proficient in personal practice without instruction or conversation.
Mindfulness is a direct experience of what is happening in the current moment in time. Getting really acquainted with it without escape, daydream, etc.
Shamata is a Buddhist yet non denominational style of meditation that creates calmness and tranquility.
Vipanana goes with Shamata. It is the insight of the working of the mind and the tricks it is playing. The clarity from the Shamata is what allows for Vipasana.
